Two civilians injured in Awantipora, no injury reported in Sgr grenade blasts | KNO

Srinagar, May 23 (KNO) : Two grenade blasts took place in Awantipora area of Pulwama and Srinagar on Thursday. Two civilians were also injured in Awantipora explosion while no injury was reported in Srinagar’s incident. Suspected militants this afternoon lobbed a grenade towards police station Awantipora, an official told KNO, adding that UBGL was thrown towards the Police station which however exploded outside. The grenade exploded with a bang, due to which mirrors of many vehicles got damaged, he said, adding that two civilians were injured in the attacks. Meanwhile, suspected militants tossed another grenade at the CRPF bunker at Tagore hall at Wazirbagh this afternoon, however, no injuries were reported in the incident. “A grenade was tossed at the CRPF bunker near Tagore hall which exploded away from the bunker of 25th battalion of CRPF. No damage was caused in the attack,” Inspector General of CRPF Ravideep Singh Sahi told KNO. He said that the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(KNO)
